  3. Support Multiple Organizations in Same Tab

    At present connecting to multiple Mattermost servers requires separate tabs in browser or desktop client. If possible it will be useful to have a single Mattermost "tab" connect to multiple organizations. Perhaps in the menu on the left the name of the organization at the very top can be a drop down list of all connected organizations/servers. It would be nice to have an option that allows either listing all the channels for all the connected servers or showing only the channels of the organization selected from the drop down.   4. Add a reaction that says "MERGED"

    Please consider adding an emoji that says "MERGED" (maybe in green?) for software pull requests. It would help let the team know that they no longer need to review a PR that has been sent in a team channel and would save time. Thank you!

  9. ability to add member for DM for one to one messages only without making new channel/team

    e.g. I want to talk to my private friend only and I don't want my friend to talk to anyone else of the company nor any other group.
    No group no team to create just DM with my friend.

  10. "Retry" button to resend the message with its original timestamp.

    Right now the behaviour is the following:
    In case of network failure, the message is held in "draft" mode and with a "retry" button it can be resent.

    The resent happens however with a current timestamp overwriting the original one and placing the message as a new message in the chat effectively putting it out of it's original context.

    Idea to implement:
    While clicking "retry" button, the message will preserve its original timestamp and therefore be placed in the right context. Channel users should be notified about it the same way like it's a new message and have ability to…

  11. Allow users to set different sounds per channel

    We have a few bots set up on their own channels and they're constantly alerting. I'd like to be able to set them up with a different sound. Currently my only choice is muting. This way, when I'm working, I can tell if it's a coworker, where I need to immediately look and reply, a bot that is letting me know a new ticket was started, and I can look in a few minutes, or a bot letting me know the server is down, in which case I can quit.

  12. Allow to customize individual channels logos (i.e., with emojis)

    Right now, all channels in the sidebar have this "globe" logo before its name. I think a good idea would be to be able to replace this logo by a customizable one. An easy idea to think about would be to allow each channel to be represented by an emoji. This would allow for quick, colorful identification of a channel if you have 10+ channels in a group.

  14. There should be a page number on the Server Log page (There should be a pagination for the Server log page)

    as per The Current Functionality of the Server log page there is No pagination, if The user see the old logs and he want to Find the same page Again then hes not able to Find that page and Time to time the logs added in the page so it will more difficult to find the same page because when new logs added then its possible that the Page Number will change so if there is a Pagination then User directly redirect on that page and save some times.

    Allow search in message attachments. Currently, searching for text inside a message attachment doesn't produce any results. I suspect that this is similar to https://mattermost.uservoice.com/forums/306457-general/suggestions/19061098-allow-message-attachments-to-generate-mentions

  16. Support readonly filesystem without errors

    It is a best practice to run kubernetes workloads as readOnlyRootFilesystem. See https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/configure-pod-container/security-context/.

    When running with such a security context, Mattermost will throw an error : Failed to update assets subpath from config.

    This is the case even if the deployment is not served as a subpath.

    My proposal is to add support for a readonly filesystem, by either :
    - Detecting when the SITE_URL is not affecting the subpath, thereby not raising an error and not trying to update the subpath
    OR
    - Writing the updated files to a different directory that can be mounted as a read-writable…

  17. Back button that takes you to your previously posted messags (perhaps highlighting them)

    We have a lot of channels and I posted a message and moved to another channel. I then noticed that the message I posted (via the thread chat) was not in the channel I thought. Would be good if there was a back button which would take me to my previous message, switching channels as necessary and perhaps highlighting the text. This could keep taking you back.

  18. Cache emojis on server from S3

    The Mattermost server downloads every emoji as the user requests it from S3. To minimize S3 traffic the emojis should be cached server side so every request does not need to hit S3.
