There should be a page number on the Server Log page (There should be a pagination for the Server log page)
as per The Current Functionality of the Server log page there is No pagination, if The user see the old logs and he want to Find the same page Again then hes not able to Find that page and Time to time the logs added in the page so it will more difficult to find the same page because when new logs added then its possible that the Page Number will change so if there is a Pagination then User directly redirect on that page and save some times.

search in message attachments
Allow search in message attachments. Currently, searching for text inside a message attachment doesn't produce any results. I suspect that this is similar to https://mattermost.uservoice.com/forums/306457-general/suggestions/19061098-allow-message-attachments-to-generate-mentions

Support readonly filesystem without errors
It is a best practice to run kubernetes workloads as readOnlyRootFilesystem. See https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/configure-pod-container/security-context/.
When running with such a security context, Mattermost will throw an error : Failed to update assets subpath from config.
This is the case even if the deployment is not served as a subpath.
My proposal is to add support for a readonly filesystem, by either :
- Detecting when the SITE_URL is not affecting the subpath, thereby not raising an error and not trying to update the subpath
OR
- Writing the updated files to a different directory that can be mounted as a read-writable…1 vote -
Back button that takes you to your previously posted messags (perhaps highlighting them)
We have a lot of channels and I posted a message and moved to another channel. I then noticed that the message I posted (via the thread chat) was not in the channel I thought. Would be good if there was a back button which would take me to my previous message, switching channels as necessary and perhaps highlighting the text. This could keep taking you back.

Cache emojis on server from S3
The Mattermost server downloads every emoji as the user requests it from S3. To minimize S3 traffic the emojis should be cached server side so every request does not need to hit S3.

URL search modifier
Ability to filter searches by URLs similar to how we can filter by messages and files today (https://docs.mattermost.com/channels/search-for-messages.html#search-modifiers), to make it easier to find URLs in posts.

Make at least special changelog channel, that can list what's new. Ideally, also make channels to leave feedback \ bug reports \ suggestions

upgrade to a version that supports creating custom user groups.
Custom user groups allow users to create groups within channels to enable more specific notifications within channels or communities. Mattermost documentation here: https://docs.mattermost.com/welcome/manage-custom-groups.html

Saving servers with names
It would help if the servers stay stored so I dont need to enter it all the time when I disconnect.
I dont want to be always online or invisible, just disconnected. But when I want to return, I have to type in the link to the server and it's name.

@group request function for boards
In boards, there is a function to put an @username in the comments section which will notify the user their action is required on that board. However the board does not allow you to @usergroup or a specific channel. I am requesting 2 possible functions. 1. enable the ability to @usergroup so we don't need to @ specific users which may change out often. or 2. enable @ for a specific channel in the comments section of a board to send notifications to a channel that a new/existing board is requesting their attention.
