Ability to warn users about use of restricted terms
Since Mattermost archives all messages (including deletes and edits), some customers want to warn users before they enter certain content into the permanent record.
This feature would be similar to a speller checker that warn on certain terms, such as confidential terms or expletives.
The checking would happen on the client.

Desktop app: Don't require 'http://' or 'https://' when entering server name on desktop
When users are on-boarding, every one of them has issues with the server URL, because they don't expect to have to enter http:// or https://

Have the ability to jump directly to the first message in a channel
When a user needs to scroll up through a lot of history, it can take a lot of time and effort. It would be much better if there was a button or ability letting users to jump directly to the first message in a channel.

implement a ChannelWillBeCreated hook for plugins
Implementing a ChannelWillBeCreated hook would allow plugins to react to new channel creation events and should make it possible to deny creating new channels and/or to trigger external services (like provisioning of a bot) when new channels are created.

Have ability to add granular permissions to bot
Currently when it comes to bot accounts they can only be set up as either a member or as a system admin.
It would be very useful if users can add more granular permissions to the bot accounts, so they can customize it to suit the requirements without making bot account a system admin.

Have the option to enable 2FA authentication only for certain IP ranges
Currently when we enable 2FA authentication, it is either enabled for all users or not at all, without any option to have a more granular approach.
It would be great if we can enable 2FA authentication only for specific IP ranges based on the configurations of the admins.

Have a reusable authentication link for guest accounts
For guest accounts, right now they have to authenticate manually via credentials.
It would be useful for the guests if there could be a link that they can use to instantly authenticate into the server.

Have the ability for system admin to set channel admins via system console
Currently, channel admins can only be set by other channel admins. In the event that a channel does not have any admins (if the only admin accidentally left the channel or team for example), there is no way to set an admin for that channel outside of doing a manual SQL query.
It would be much more convenient if there was an ability to set channel admins via the System Console for example to handle situations like this

add no reply warning in email template
Hi team and thank you for your work.
We are an organization that runs a Mattermost Team Edition instance which is used by near 6.000 users.
Sometimes, we have users replying directly to email notifications sent by Mattermost. These replies get back to us, and we do not have time to forward it nor to warn the senders that their messages didn't reach the right people.Would that be possible to change email template by adding something like (with french translation, it would be awesome though!):
"Do not reply directly to this email, otherwise people will not get your message"…
