  1. search in bots' messages

    We use MM EE integrate with GitLab EE, so "bots" from GitLab post issues / comments / merge requests to our channels. Today I discovered that MM Search feature does not search (or index?) messages send by such bots as it does not consider them as char participants (from: autocomplete does not offer bots' names, only humans). Is there a setting affecting this or it's by design? Thank you.

  2. Interactive buttons supporting emoji

    If the text outside the interactive button is an emoji, eg. ":smile:", it gets rendered as the smile emoji. However, if this text is inside an interactive button, the test ":smile:" gets rendered.

    Similarly when dealing with "£" signs, "£" renders correctly outside the button, but inside just the text is rendered.

    It would be good if emoji and other HTML shortcuts could be implemented within the buttons themselves.

  3. Set user position when user create, in Command Line Tools

    The option 'user create' in the Command Line Tools is email, firstname, lastname, locale, nickname, password, username, system_admin. There is no "position".
    I would like an option to set "position".

  4. Adjustable Email Notifications for only mentions or only direct messages

    Currently Email Notifications are sent out on either a mention or a direct message. Our users asked for the feature to decide weather to have notifications only for mentions, only for DMs or for both.

  5. make threads multilevel with nested replies

    After using Mattermost in a large organization setting it is quite clear that threads need to have multiple levels. Meaning I should be able to reply to someone else's reply and have it show up indented under his. This would be extremely useful once threads are made collapsible. Think of Reddit comment threads.

  6. CMD/CTRL+K should use fuzzy find methodology

    When you are using cmd+k to find a channel or person, it would be nice if it used a fuzzy find searching mechanism.

    Example:
    trying to find person a.lastName
    searching: "alast" doesn't find anything currently since it requires you search "a.last"

  7. Support Ninja Edits

    Ninja edits are post edits that occur very shortly after the initial submission. These edits do not receive the (edited) marking.

    It would be nice to give users a little grace period to fix their spelling mistakes, e.g. 1 minute, before the (edited) label is appended to the message. On Reddit it works that way.

  9. Too many times opening proxy auth dialog

    In company proxy environment, authentication dialog for proxy open as many as Mattermost server registered in App each time I open Mattermost App.
    We want to reduce the number of times to open the dialog. (e.g. by setting auth for proxy from environement variables, or by saving auth info to config.json)

  10. Allow administrators to set default notification settings

    The default notification setting causes a lot of spam. It's hard for new users to find this and adjust it to mention-only, so they end up simply leaving teams. It would be helpful if administrators could choose which default new accounts start with. In my deployment, we would prefer new accounts start with notifications set to mention-only, of course allowing the users to change it.

    Right now the scope of the search feature is limited to the current team. It would be great to have option allowing to specify the scope: channel, team, global (for example)

  12. Custom date display setting in users Account settings

    It would be nice if users (for example for languages that are not yet translated for Mattermost) could change the format of the date in their apps like they can now change the time appearance. For example short date would be very nice option for many european languages like "dd.mm.yyyy" or even "d.m.yyyy" or "d.m.yy" (year wih two digits only).

  13. Improve Team Notification with multiple teams

    When Users are in multiple teams, it is at the moment hard to see in which team are unread messages. There is just a small dot near the team and that is hard to recognize.

    When you got a mention, Mattermost is adding a dot with a number on the team.

    I suggest to use this dot for mentioning but just without the number for improving the visibility of unread messages without mentions.

  18. Zoom - Automatically Generate a new meeting ID when hit the Zoom Button

    We've noticed a subtle difference between the zoom integration under Slack vs under Mattermost.

    With Slack creating a new zoom with the /zoom command created a brand new meeting id. With Mattemost creating a new zoom with the "Start Zoom Meeting Now" always creates a meeting based on the user's "Personal Meeting ID". i.e. With the recycled meeting id, anyone who know my Personal Meeting ID can hop onto any future zoom meetings I start. We had that accidentally happen this week.

  19. Change Upload limit files more than > 5

    Can you make new field in config file to change upload limit file? Now in message is 5 files max. I want to change to eg. 30?
