MSI installer for windows client
We need a MSI file for automated (silent) installation. That way you can deploy the application with the group policy of windows.
Work for an MSI has begun! If anyone is interested contributing or testing the installer, let us know here: https://github.com/wget/mattermost-desktop-msi-rd

Everyone interested in testing the MSI installer, here is the corresponding announcement for the first alpha: https://forum.mattermost.org/t/windows-msi-installer-and-group-policies-gpo-in-testing/7275
Note this is an alpha test build and not an official production installer.
I would be interested in the MSI as well. I'm open for testing if you still need somebody.
Yes i would be very interested to test it as we soon launch mattermost internally.
Hey all! We're working on a pull request for this at the moment. Would anyone be interested helping test the MSI installer when we have the pull request ready in the coming weeks?

@mattermost.org, ist there any status related to this?
Unfortunately, i can't find a Ticket related to the Implementation of an MSI Installer or documentation, why it's delayed from "mid-December" to "next month (February 2018)" to now nearly June
Has this been released? I haven't been able to find an installer yet.
@mattermost.org Any idea when an MSI installer will be available? We're unable to give our end users permission to install software for compliance and security purposes.

We are anticipating the release to be available in next month (February 2018). The ticket will be updated when the release has been deployed.
@mattermost.org Are there any updates on this issue? This is a high priority issue for us.
Thanks all for the feedback!
We're aiming to provide the ability for silent deployment with the next desktop app release, tentatively scheduled for mid-December.
We're also tracking this feature proposal for adding an MSI installer for the Windows client.
I have the impression that the MM guys just won't do the things we friendly ask to :((. Sad.
Not very useful to end users, but mandatory for IT Managers !
An MSI would be great. Yes.

We're currently deploying with PDQ Deploy with the standard .exe. It works with no user interaction but unfortunately isn't silent.
