search through all teams
Right now the scope of the search feature is limited to the current team. It would be great to have option allowing to specify the scope: channel, team, global (for example)

Incredible. I was completely hyped for mattermost after the first 10 minutes, and then I found this. This is unbelievable, especially in comparison to the polished and nice usability mattermost exhibits on all the other places. This is a MUST HAVE!

This feature would be very handy. Please consider adding it.

We have started to use hashtags and now have the problem that we cannot use them across teams. A search through all teams would solve this problem.

Refering here that CTRL+K should search all channels, not just Channels inside the selected Team. This would be great!

This is enormously important for us as well. We've just started using Mattermost and already have 10 teams to segregate projects and such.

(I don't see it currently reported as an issue -- https://github.com/mattermost/desktop/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+search -- suggest we report this as a bug/issue, and close this "idea")

Isn't this a _defect_? It's completely unclear to the user that the "Search" in the top-right-hand-corner of the application, is _NOT_ a global search. It is reasonable to expect that search means "search everything", when you're not presented with filters or scope selections....
All this time I thought I was searching the entire scope of the current team (public channels of course) - regardless of whether or not I was a member!

same here, we are using multiple teams and a global search would increase the UX a lot!

This is also a huge issue for us. Users are screaming for global search.

We have the same issue in our company. I have to manually search in each team thus wasting time and degrading the user experience. :/
