  1. Allow me to customize my ignore mentions list for notifications

    Currently we can set notifications to Ignore mentions for @channel, @here and @all. I would like to customize that list, much like the opposite of the user settings for triggering mentions.

    Android smartphones need to be free of pre-installed apps. It's really bothersome. Users never use some of the pre-installed apps until they put the device in a trash can. Perhaps average users could have used the device even without a SD card if the device would free of pre-installed apps

  5. Notifications when a specific user posts in a channel

    I would like to set it so I get notified when a specific user (such as my manager) posts in a channel. This would make it faster to see any questions and he would get a faster response.

  6. Have the option to configure special/specific notification sounds based on keywords

    Currently it is not possible to have notifications triggered based on keywords, for example if there are any emergency keywords, a certain ringtone or vibration (or both) will be triggered.

    This would be important in the event of any emergency that requires immediate action.

    When pasted into chat, render percent-encoded URLs into readable characters.

  10. Add option to show nickname or username (never real name)

    There's no way to show the nickname or the username (if no nick is set)

    • In Account Settings -> Display -> Teammate Name Display

    You can choose to see the username, the first and last names or nickname falling-back to First and Last name, but there's no one to give priority to nickname over the username.

    So, add an item such as "Show nickname if one exists, otherwise show username"

    In the way that the first and last names are never shown, unless required.

  11. Design a plug-in that can be configured to send specific hashtag comments to certain channels.

    Comments with specific hashtags will be sent to specified channels.
    Example: #Outage could be sent to a general user notification channel as well as an administrators channel.
    Example: A reference to a specific program release in a developer chat could be sent to to a project-specific QA chat.

    Add an server wide option to forbid renaming user names. It might be a security problem, if someone claims abandoned user name (/account name).

  16. Custom channel header to show up in the sidebar

    I have several team/group conversations. They each show up in the sidebar as "Alphabetized person's name, next person's name." We have the ability to give a channel a custom header. It would be nice if that custom header could be what is displayed in the sidebar. Thank you.

  17. Have the options for Team Edition to be able to restrict team invites

    Currently, the option to restrict who can send team invites are only available for E10 and E20 editions of Mattermost.

    Not having this functionality in the Team Editions of Mattemost can cause their instances to be potentially insecure as anyone can send out these invite links.

  18. iOS Timeout/Logout Notification

    iOS Timeout/Logout Notification

    Based on being automatically logged out every 3 days; it has been a consistent problem having people recognize when they are no longer on and thus not receiving messages (iPhones wise at least). This has already been implemented for Android CAO 2018 according to the search bar.

  19. Support other Postgres schema but public

    I have not found any way to specify the Postgres schema that mattermost should use and saw that the "public" schema was in the sql migration files.

    Using the public schema is not a recommended practice with postgres : https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Database_Schema_Recommendations_for_an_Application

    See first section stating :
    "The recommendation is to create a single database with multiple named schemas [...]. Additionally, it is recommended to remove the public schema."

  20. Simple image editor - draw line to highligt part of image

    A simple image editor for uploaded images. This to draw lines, write text and add arrows. Would be great when explaining things. As in a quick bug report.
