Policy for new account to change the initial password
Hello world,
we host mattermost by our own. So it is not allowed to register by your self. Our admin create the user with a initial password.
So it will be good, that the user have to change the initial password.
What do you think about it?

*.mov in-line or pop up player support
In our Mattermost 5.0 instance:
mp4 videos have a play button to launch a preview pop-up.
youtube video (link) will launch an in-line preview
However, .mov files have a play button (just like the mp4) but links to download and not preview.Question: is there a way to enable .mov file preview in-line or pop-up?
Thanks,

Proxy third-party http requests through Mattermost server
It would be very useful if http/s requests from Mattermost clients (web, desktop, mobile) to third party sites (for example analytics calls via js) could be optionally proxied through the Mattermost server itself. In restrictive environments these calls to third parties are often blocked by local security software, causing errors in the client.

Teamspeak Plugin Integration
Teamspeak is the top voice chat app in the market.
I suggest to have a MM integration plugin.
It needs to work on Browser and MM clients too.

Diagrams and flowcharts support (Markdown)
Mermaid (Introduced in GitLab 10.3)
It is possible to generate diagrams and flowcharts from text using Mermaid.
In order to generate a diagram or flowchart, you should write your text inside the mermaid block.

Mention notifications should differentiate between “mention you” and “mentioned all”
This seems like an almost fatal flaw. I hope it can be implemented soon as it doesn’t seem like a major project!

Interactive Message links/flat-buttons
I really like the interaction message buttons!
https://docs.mattermost.com/developer/interactive-message-buttons.htmlI am trying to clone the /remind functionality in Slack into Mattermost, and the button interactions are working well, but the links to 'delete', 'Close list', 'view completed items', etc do not have an equivalent in Mattermost. (For now I am going to perhaps have buttons for these though it's not as flexible as I'd like)

Unsubscribe from email notifications directly from the email
Currently when you receive an email notification, you cannot unsubscribe from the notifications directly from the email. Instead, you must log in, then go to Account Settings > Notifications to turn them off.
Propose providing a link in the email which allows you to unsubscribe from the notifications without logging in, similar to Discourse.

Add shortcut to close current channel/direct chat
Hello!
It would be great to have a shortcut to close current channel or direct chat.
It could be CTRL+F4 or CTRL+W.

Date and Channel Name
When we type a message it shows time but not shows date. Please add date with time and if possible also add channel name with time and date.
We copy the message for our reference. It would be more helpfull if Date and channel name added with time.

Show slash command for in_channel integration responses
One subtle different between slack and mattermost around slash commands is that "in_channel" responses in slack also show the initial user and command. I find this helps visibility, especially if the command has arguments -
/bitbucket status
vs/bitbucket status project
for example.https://api.slack.com/slash-commands#in_channel__vs__ephemeral__responses

Clear cache automatically at set time or do not cache data on Desktop client
On Windows, conversations are cached locally on the desktop client under the Roaming/Mattermost/Cache folder. These cache files contain sensitive information from conversations in the desktop app. I would like an option in the desktop client to either 1) disable cache completely or 2) clear the full cache on a regularly scheduled timeframe (ex. every 6 hours). Disabling cache is better as it makes sure that the conversation isn't saved to the local file system. This is important for projects that do not want any sensitive conversations available outside of Mattermost.

Ability to disable rendering of animated emoji, or to hide posts, to improve performance
The problem I am having is that in some channels when users are using tons of animated emojis, I am seeing my CPU sit at >=30%. If I then switch to a more static channel, the CPU usage drops off the top of the list.
The feature I would love is to either:
* Have the ability to disable the rendering of animated emojis (or gifs?)
* Or to have the ability to hide postsCurrently I have to make sure never to leave a heavy animated channel as my active channel.

Restore a deleted channel
We would like to be able to restore deleted channels. One of which this can be done is to have a trash box of all deleted channels, of which we can restore back to in case we would like to reopen it.
