    Every widget in Xwidget has a different default thumbnail. But the user can upload their own custom thumbnail image for each widget, if they wish.

  3. Support @silent to not notify the recipient of the message

    Often times I want to message someone after hours so as to not forget the next day, but avoid doing so because it is rude. An "@silent" message will allow me to send that message without alerting the recipient.

  4. Copy / Zoom on image in preview (same as Slack / Skype)

    Integrate similar image previews as in Skype / Slack, rather than just "Download":
    - Enable copy pasting of an image from preview
    - Enable zoom on image when passing mouse over it
    - Open preview in a sub-window for better viewing

  5. User name pronounce upload on profile.

    according to various national users join to Mattermost instance.

    sometimes not sure how to pronounce their name,
    (especially, when people use their real name)

    what if each users available to upload their name pronounce on profile when they create an account.

    and people on the same channel with that person can play it? (only when they click pronounce button)

    I think it would be convenient for who have Mattermost instance like me.

  6. Server-wide categories for your sidebar

    The new feature "costume category" gives the option to re-sort your channels and also Direct Messages.
    It would be great if that would work Server-wide and not only Team-wide.
    Exspecially for Direct Messages it would help to be able to sort them. It could work like the "Favorite" which is also server-wide.
    It could also be an option to have it server-wide optional by a setting

  7. Filter Unread Channels across All Teams rather than a Single Team

    I’d like to see if there’s a feature allowing users to filter unread channels across all teams/channels of which a user is a member. With the current version (5.32.1), we are able to filter unread channels within a single team, which requires us to have to manually click on each team and filter the unread channels within that team. In my case, I am a member of 12 teams (each representing different departments) so having to navigate to each team to filter unreads feels rather cumbersome.

  11. Allow to customize individual channels logos (i.e., with emojis)

    Right now, all channels in the sidebar have this "globe" logo before its name. I think a good idea would be to be able to replace this logo by a customizable one. An easy idea to think about would be to allow each channel to be represented by an emoji. This would allow for quick, colorful identification of a channel if you have 10+ channels in a group.

  15. Allow users to set different sounds per channel

    We have a few bots set up on their own channels and they're constantly alerting. I'd like to be able to set them up with a different sound. Currently my only choice is muting. This way, when I'm working, I can tell if it's a coworker, where I need to immediately look and reply, a bot that is letting me know a new ticket was started, and I can look in a few minutes, or a bot letting me know the server is down, in which case I can quit.

  16. Allow selection/copy of table data in android app

    A table of data when displayed in the Android app (not sure of others) doesn't allow for selection and copy of its data. Regular messages do, why not table data? Can we be allowed to select and copy table data?

  17. Adding Custom User Flairs to each channel

    I believe the ability to add user flairs in the different mattermost channels you are a part of would be a valuable addition to the service and would allow others to see what you have or what you do.
    examples include

    Gearheadz channel:
    User Name "Car flair"
    Joseph Smith * '99 Jetta *

    Photography channel:
    User Name "Camera type"
    Jane Doe * Sony Alpha A7 *

    Lifting channel:
    User Name "Max Lift"
    Dwayne Johnson 500 B(ench) 500 S(quat) 500 D(eadlift)

  18. "Retry" button to resend the message with its original timestamp.

    Right now the behaviour is the following:
    In case of network failure, the message is held in "draft" mode and with a "retry" button it can be resent.

    The resent happens however with a current timestamp overwriting the original one and placing the message as a new message in the chat effectively putting it out of it's original context.

    Idea to implement:
    While clicking "retry" button, the message will preserve its original timestamp and therefore be placed in the right context. Channel users should be notified about it the same way like it's a new message and have ability to…

  19. ability to add member for DM for one to one messages only without making new channel/team

    e.g. I want to talk to my private friend only and I don't want my friend to talk to anyone else of the company nor any other group.
    No group no team to create just DM with my friend.

  20. Keep "recently read" channels on top, like unread

    I find the feature where channels with unread messages are in an UNREAD category that's above my FAVORITES to be very helpful and useful. I often have a few such channels at any one time, and I often read and answer them all at about the same time, switching between them.
    The problem is that, as soon as I read through or respond to one channel, it is no longer UNREAD, and so leaves that topmost category. Often I want to respond with an additional line of text, or make an edit -- but now it's difficult to find that…
