Markup to directly navigate to the ticket on Redmine, a small overview of the ticket as well.
Markup to directly navigate to the ticket on Redmine, a small overview of the ticket as well. For example, when I refer to a ticket I use #ticket_no. This could be parsed by the parser and replaced by an href that points to the ticket

"Remember me" checkbox when start tne application
It's quite annoying to input username\pass every start. Actually if user clears running applications he has to input username\pass again. I assume it's already had but I couldn't find this functionality.

Custom tutorial text
Enable the setting of custom tutorial text for the three tutorial intro screens, with markdown formatting support and preview of the messages to be sent.
As a secondary priority, enable the setting of different messages based on the preferences of the end user, defaulting to English if no message is set.
Requesting this because often organizations want to share more about the purpose of their Mattermost deployment, and include different links, e.g. link to naming conventions to use for channels, an internal user's guide to the key features in the system intended to be used, perhaps a video introduction from…

Treat post selection as a reply
It is a constant struggle to keep all relevant messages associated to a thread. People don't see the reply icon or understand its significance. I'm not sure how to best solve that whole problem, but it'd help to make the concept of a reply more prominent if selecting a post is the equivalent of clicking the arrow icon.

import multiple slack communities at once
I am on over 20 Slack communities. Adding each one one at a time to my mattermost apps will be slow and error prone.
Add a way to read my config from running slack apps, and/or discover all the slack communities a given email address is a member of, and import them all at once to the Mattermost apps.

Desktop Notification should allow to answer right away (Desktop App, macOS)
On macOS, Desktop Notifications can offer a "Reply" Button in order to allow a user to answer to a message right from the received notification, which is very handy. I wish to have this feature in the Mattermost Desktop app as some of my users have used Hipchat before and they complain this feature is not available in Mattermost.

Context menu on user names or mentions, like "Send Email", "View Profile" and allow integrations
Clicking on a user mention shows other mentions. But maybe we want to interact with that user in other ways, like sending a message (which should open the private conversation with them), send an email, view profile, etc.
In addition, we could allow for integration with some other service. For example, integration can be defined as a URL endpoint that can pass/post the username as parameter or request a custom field in the use profile which then can be sent as parameter. For example, let's say we want to integrate with Skype to call the user via Skype. Integration might…2 votes -

CTRL+F performs a browser-like search in the desktop app
One missing piece in the desktop apps is CTRL+F browser-like search.
There is a plan to implement 'search in current channel' (https://github.com/mattermost/desktop/issues/305), but implementing the browser-like find feature is closer to the web app experience
There is existing electron APIs for finding something on the page: http://electron.atom.io/docs/api/web-contents/#contentsfindinpagetext-options

town square
In a large organization the "Town Square" channel can be full of annoying non-work-related junk (e.g., zealots arguing over the merits of Ayn Rand's collective works). I should be able to exit the "Town Square" like any other channel. Likewise, I should be able to re-add "Town Square" if I so choose. Alternatively, administrators should be able to restrict posting to "Town Square" to administrators.

Image preview: size lightbox on image width and not height
Lightbox on image preview have a scrolling bar, but I'm pretty sure that CSS on image lightbox mentionned height:auto
So we can't preview a long image.

We need "(managerable) Closed Public Channel / Nonstealth private group"
as we like the style of discussion coming up to several topics, a lot customers we work with, make us work with an NDA. So we are not allowed to discuss work related stuff with people, that did not sign this NDA. Ok. We could go with Private Groups. BUT: this is invite only. Sometimes it would be helpful to be able to "see" that there are several topics that might be of my intrest, so i would like to ask the admin to let me join. So I would like to have different "Channel Modes" like : administrate channe…

Allow users and passwords to be created from admin console
While having users create their own accounts as a result of sending an e-mail invite, I'd like to be able to make users and assign them permissions and passwords right from the admin console, without having to configure SSO or drop to a command line.

Make referencing/embedding attached images easier
It's already easy to attach an image simply via drag and drop or pasting it from the clipboard. That's great!
Unfortunately at the moment it is not possible to attach an image and directly reference/embed it in the message, so that it is shown in the text. You first have to send the message to get access to the image links.
The easiest solution would be, to provide image links even without sending the message, so that we can link manually.
The more sophisticated solution would allow me to click on the image which should then paste the image link…

Better /me command style
/me command has very poor style distinction. It only uses italics but it is enclosed in a dialog balloon as any other message.
It is more distinguishable, for example, when the system balloon tells join/leave actions in 3rd person. I think something like that would be more accurate for the /me command.
