  3. Allow Incoming Webhooks to use response_type

    Please allow incoming webhooks to use response_type. I'm looking at making a bot that would allow others to roleplay. This bot functions by watching the channel, and when it sees a message with a trigger that has been set up with it, uses a incoming webhook to post a message with a custom picture and username before deleting the triggering message.

  4. Allow Webhooks to post to Reply Threads

    At the moment, the "comment" value for response_type will only trigger for the triggering message, even if that message is part of a thread. Maybe a value of "thread" can tell it to reply in the thread rather than creating another thread just to respond to the trigger message.

  5. Separate Teams from each other

    Different Teams can see all other Mattermost members via “Add new members to team” link. Even worse they can even add other teams members as regular user.

    Expected behavior

    Teams are meant to seperate Accounts.
    A regular User should not have the privilege to see all other server members nor to invite them.
    Observed behavior

    ALL Users are visible as non privileged user.
    ALL User can be invited as non privileged user.

  6. Allow for tighter spacing in the sidebar

    Currently tons of space is being wasted in the sidebar. Allow for tighter spacing of channel/user names so more of the list can be displayed at once.

  7. Distinguishing Between Users Compact Mode

    In compact view, it is difficult to tell users apart. The color of the user's name is the same as the message itself. Perhaps a smaller display image, or coloring their name. I don't even use compact view now becuase it's too hard to tell who said what.

  8. Desktop notification: allow hiding text

    As it's possible for mobile notification, for privacy reasons it would be great to have an option to hide message text in desktop notification.

    One should be able to show:
    * full notification: channel and message text
    * partial notification: channel but HIDDEN text
    * essential notification: just "you have new messages"

  9. Hiding user from User directory

    Right now when you click to Add new + icon beside direct message it show you directory where it show all user registered on the server.

    So to protect that, a option to hide that directory will be added. To add other user you have type email address of that user from which he registered on your server.

    More like whatsapp where you can msg people whome phone number you have.

  10. Add single/double click to comments to Edit comment

    I'd like to have a single or double click default on a comment (maybe user-pref) - Mouse-over/highlight comment.. double-click.. comment opens in Editor.

  12. Allow to search for user name based on email and/or full (and partial) name

    In my company many people use fancy names, abbreviated names and so on. If I want to communicate to someone I know (email, full name) but doesn't know his MM user name, I really don't know how to do it.
    (But I am still quit new to MM, so maybe there is a way?)

  13. Add option to disable 2FA on per-account basis

    For automation purposes, it can be desirable to disable the two-factor authentication enforcement for an individual account. In particular, bots such as Matterbridge cannot handle the 2FA requirement/enforcement.

  14. Disable notifications for topic changes

    Users should be able to more selectively enable notifications for specific events. If a username either gets removed or added in a topic, that user now gets a notification, but this is not always desirable.

  16. Add support for Mattermost Custom URL scheme on macOS

    Hello,

    MacOS recently added support for custom URL schemes which allows other apps and browsers to open permalinks to content in the native app (rather than in the browser).

    The use case would be that when you get an email to a Mattermost permalink, and you click on it in Safari, it'll open in the Mattermost app rather than a new tab in Safari.

  18. add the option to disable notifications for the active window

    Having audio notifications for a window that is currently active seems silly. While I could see some wanting it, I think it would be a valuable feature to be able to disable this feature.

  19. Keyboard shortcut to change team

    To have a single mattermost client connected to several teams is a great feature.

    What i find missing is a keyboard shortcut to change team. The other shortcuts are very good and I usually can navigate through many channels and conversations with keyboard only, but when I see that have received in other team, I have to use the mouse.

    Perhaps you could add tabs or something similar to the "quick channel switcher" (Ctrl-K) or have a new shortcut to switch teams (e.g. Ctrl-T).

  20. Option in a channel: force view pinned posts

    In some channels some messages are ‘must read’...
    An option ‘I have read this one’ would be great then.
    It would also be nice to be able to reorder the pinned posts.
