  1. Integration with osTicket

    It would be great to have an integration with the osTicket platform to be able to receive notifications of new tickets or ticket updates.

    In addition, it would be even better to be able to send messages to the osTicket API to create new tickets.

  2. Interface changes for view users present in channel and their status

    We all know that the Mattermost interface shows the Channel names in the left sidebar. We have been thinking that the users in that channel should be listed in the left sidebar under that particular channel name with an Expand/Collapse icon/button. If we expand, we should know the user’s status as offline/available, etc.

  5. Text-to-speech accessibility support for at least one client interface if not all

    The Mac OS/X Desktop Client for Mattermost has never supported text-to-speech with would make my interaction as a low vision (legally blind) user much easier. Until recently, I was able to at least get that functionality in the web-based interface with Chrome but that is also no longer working. I can't even set up the iphone app because the first step of entering the server is incompatible with Voice Over. If I was totally blind, I couldn't use the application at all.   6. Allow alternative iOS storage for photos / videos

    When taking a photo via the Mattermost application, it defaults to saving the photo to the camera roll which will then get backed up to iCloud. In most cases is awesome. However, if you are looking to keep data separate, it would be nice if we had the option to have photos taken in the app, stay in the app.

  7. Image preview blacklist

    Image Preview: Add a site blacklist to prevent image previews from selected sites.

    Example: Someone can set up private repositories on github that aren't visible to users that aren't logged in and aren't members of the organization. Link preview currently creates a preview of the root github page. This is pretty annoying when you're sharing links to pull requests with coworkers.

    Please give users the ability to flag posts that could be considered abusive, dangerous, or contrary to corporate policies. Once flagged a link to the post would be sent to a specific email address.

  9. set desktop and mobile notifications for all subscribed channels in one interface

    Currently, we can set desktop and mobile notifications per channel in the individual channel settings in the desktop app. Add an interface to list all, or subscribed, or favorited channels, and a checkbox to enable desktop or mobile settings for each channel. So, a user can enable or tweak notifications for all subscribed channels on the desktop, but choose all, none or just a few favorited channels for mobile notifications.

  11. accept symbolic links in the plugins directory

    I administrate a Mattermost Team Edition instance and have separated data that should persist between server upgrades to a directory structure outside the Mattermost installation directory. Paths that I can not reconfigure to their external location are created as symbolic links. Currently this applies to ./config/config.json and ./logs (I could have done the same with ./data I believe, but since this path is configurable I decided to tell Mattermost explicitly about the external location.)

    With this I am protected from accidentally deleting data I want to keep during upgrades. Also this makes upgrading somewhat easier than the documented procedure. This…

  13. have system tray icon indicate when not logged in

    The system tray icon is white when I am caught up on reading. It turns amber or red when I have messages to read or direct messages. But it was white all morning. I was curious why everyone was so quiet, but didn't look. Then I went to direct message someone and saw I wasn't even logged in.

    Feature suggestion: system tray icon indicate when not logged in.

  15. API: Add new_msg_count to /users/me/teams/{{team_id}}/channels/members

    Currently you need to make two calls to get the total count of unread messages or to get the count of unread messages from a single channel (/users/me/teams/{{team_id}}/channels and /users/me/teams/{{team_id}}/channels/members).

    To avoid the first request, it would be nice to have a new property e.g. new_msg_count that returns the current new message count for a channel. This is currently only possible by substracting the msg_count (second request) from the total_msg_count (first request).

    As a mattermost administrator, I want to be able to configure authentication with Auth0 as an identity provider. Auth0 supports a variety of standards, so it might be best to implement it as OpenID Connect.

  17. PDF Preview Issue

    When you select a PDF that has been posted to Mattermost, the preview is not at a readable size and it only shows the first 5 pages. As we use Mattermost to circulate confidential documents to our Advising and Dispute Resolution Committee, this isn’t ideal as folks would prefer to preview only and not download to their computers.

  18. Prevent non-admin users from posting and editing to channel

    The use case is to provide information to users, for example, release notes, status updates, etc. In order to keep the channel relevant and to avoid clutter, non-admin users have read-only access.

    This feature allows a team to create "reference" channels.

    1. team admins: create, read, update, delete
    2. non-admin users: read-only

  19. Allow users to signup without invite and also join team without invite

    When open server is enabled, users can signup without invite. However when they signup they are allowed to create team, so I disabled it. Now when they sign up there is nothing. How about let them send request to join teams, and administrators can confirm.
