Snooze for channel notifications
I don't want to miss when my team is posting comments on our channel but I also don't want to be be notified every few seconds when things pick up. It would be nice if I could receive a notification and am then aware things being said but I could go in and select a snooze option. Then for the next 15 minutes I don't get distracted for every posting and can choose where my attention is.

Direct message autoreply limit
If two persons both have auto replies to DM messages on, it can lead to a situation where auto replies are sent both ways in eternal loop. Could there be some limit how many replies are sent to a person or in a discussion?

Limit custom emoji visibility to some channels
By default custom emojis are available to every user in the server in every channel.
I would like to be able to restrain the visibility of a custom emoji I upload.
When uploading a custom emoji, I would like to pick in which channel it can be selected.I am interested in implementing this feature myself.

Mattermost and Atlassian JIRA
Hi all,
we would like to have a button in our Confluence System (onprem) like a "share with Mattermost" button so that users easily can share their spaces with a mattermost team or channel.
I know that there is a plugin "slack for mattermost" that is compatible with MM, but thats "only" the integration, not a button.
Regards,

integrate with an(other) open source kanban platform
There are other open-source kanban applications besides Trello. I'd like it if there were other integrations.

autofill/offer #...s that are already in use when creating a #...
when I start typing in a #..., I would like it to autofill with optional #...s that are already in use so I can see if there are like-minded posts and #...s already out there

Integrate with OpenProject/projeqtor
Integration of Mattermost with an open source, self-hosted application like OpenProject or Projeqtor would be really helpful.

Set channel ID for incoming webhook
Incoming webhooks already allow posting to a specific channel using the channel name. I want the option to use channel ID instead.
Channel names are mutable, which means an integration cannot save the names and reliably interact with the same channels in future. Instead it has to save the channel ID and query for the name before every request.

🌓 Automatic dark/light mode switch using standard CSS
It's now possible to follow the OS dark mode preference in CSS. 🌝🌚
Stackoverflow is using it and it's brilliant [1].
It seems that now it is reasonably simple and supported [2] using CSS.
This would require a new option where one defines the dark and light themes one wants and then MM uses the CSS tech above to switch them under the hood.[1] https://stackoverflow.blog/2020/03/31/building-dark-mode-on-stack-overflow/

Have the options for Team Edition to be able to restrict team invites
Currently, the option to restrict who can send team invites are only available for E10 and E20 editions of Mattermost.
Not having this functionality in the Team Editions of Mattemost can cause their instances to be potentially insecure as anyone can send out these invite links.

Implement a higher tier than Teams
Currently within a Mattermost server, the highest tier of organization are Teams. However, Teams are not self-contained, and even if it is configured so that users cannot join other teams/channels, users are still aware of other users outside of their respective Teams and can also communicate with one another.
It could be useful to have another tier above Teams, for example Clients (for servers that serve enterprise clients). Each Client will have its own ID, and within it their respective teams, channels and users. Each Client will be separate from one another, meaning that the users from one Client cannot…

Clarified "Channel Purpose"
The "purpose" element of each channel is very difficult to see. Information such as who created this channel doesn't need to be noticeable. The necessary "purpose" statement is buried in the information. I want at least the "purpose" statement to bold the font.
I want to hide or move information other than the purpose.3 votes -
Make new posts stand out more
When there are multiple teams, when a new post is made to another team, it is difficult for users to notice it. I want you to show it with an impact that would reverse the color information of the icon.
The same can be said for the channel name display within each team. It is difficult to understand with the current bold display.3 votes -
Allow Tags to be added like Reactions
Since you already plan to add Tags, I would like to propose the ability to add tags like reactions so that people other than the original poster have the ability to tag the post!

Blacklist specific email addresses
In a recent company (+5k employees) all employees with a certain email domain may join a mattermost team. But there are some few exceptions, where some employees may not join the team, altough they share an email domain. So it would be great to have a blacklist for certain email addresses.
