  1. Add the ability to connect Smooch.io

    Integrate Mattermost with Smooch.io would enable us to use a wide range of platforms within one tool. This also would end up having several requests here solved too - since Smooch also offers Native SDK's, Web Chat and much more.

  3. Show slash command for in_channel integration responses

    One subtle different between slack and mattermost around slash commands is that "in_channel" responses in slack also show the initial user and command. I find this helps visibility, especially if the command has arguments - /bitbucket status vs /bitbucket status project for example.

  5. Allow the deletion of individual attachments from a post that has multiple attachments instead of needing to delete the whole post.

    Posted two attachments with some text. Noticed one of the pictures was incorrect and made some changes to it and resubmitted it. However, I couldn't delete the old one while leaving the other attachment that was still valid.

  6. Generate different public URL domain for sharing the static files with externals

    Hello,

    I have installed the mattermost in subdomain eg. chat.example.com. And when I generate the public URL it provides the URL from this domain.

    But I don’t want to share the URL of my mattermost application with external users so how can I generate the URL from a different domain. I can set the alias of the mattermost installed domain to files.example.com but this URL should generate for all users accounts who are the members of my mattermost application.

    Means on generating the public URL of files it should show the different domain instead of mattermost most installed application domain.

  8. Integrate with Office 365/GDrive calander

    It would be useful if we could set up mattermost to notify us from multiple calendars (personal, work etc). This way the user would not have to leave mattermost to check meetings/calls and make MM a more integrated workspace tool.

  10. Add user_id parameter to api/v4/commands/execute

    Adding this parameter would allow direct message to user through api call.
    {
    "channelid": "string",
    "command": "string",
    "user
    id":"string"
    }

  11. Better AWS S3 Integration

    AWS S3 is a great option and I've gotten it working using an IAM role w policies to access that specific S3 bucket. What I'm suggesting is that instead of S3 being used as just a file "dump", there could be an optional setting for "Serve content directly from S3" (as well as perhaps another option available for "serve directly using cloudfront" - which would have a notice on the extra cost).
    The idea is that instead of serving assets from the Mattermost instance itself, the objects in S3 could have presigned URL's set on them (with another setting for…

  12. Storage backend open stack swift

    For users who don't want to or can't use Amazon S3 or local filesystem, adding support for Open Stack Swift improves the "Cloud portability" of Mattermost, in addition to supporting more use cases.

  13. Integration with smallchat

    Smallchat is a live chat for visitors of our websites. It already works with slack, so it would be great if it would work with mattermost too https://small.chat/

  15. Add typescript type definitions to the mattermost-redux api-lib

    Please could you add types so that developping of plugins/integrations/hooks and such may benefit from the power of type verification and auto completion.
    It would, specially on API dev, be a strong plus ;)

  16. Allow Incoming Webhooks to use response_type

    From: https://github.com/mattermost/mattermost-server/issues/10463

    Please allow incoming webhooks to use response_type. I'm looking at making a bot that would allow others to roleplay. This bot functions by watching the channel, and when it sees a message with a trigger that has been set up with it, uses a incoming webhook to post a message with a custom picture and username before deleting the triggering message.
    This gives the effect of someone being able to play different characters, especially when paired with: https://mattermost.uservoice.com/forums/306457-general/suggestions/37237117-allow-webhooks-to-post-to-reply-threads

  19. Set channel ID for incoming webhook

    Incoming webhooks already allow posting to a specific channel using the channel name. I want the option to use channel ID instead.

    Channel names are mutable, which means an integration cannot save the names and reliably interact with the same channels in future. Instead it has to save the channel ID and query for the name before every request.

  20. Design a plug-in that can be configured to send specific hashtag comments to certain channels.

    Comments with specific hashtags will be sent to specified channels.
    Example: #Outage could be sent to a general user notification channel as well as an administrators channel.
    Example: A reference to a specific program release in a developer chat could be sent to to a project-specific QA chat.
