Central Server for Mattermost Instances
All self-hosted Mattermost Servers could be authenticated and coordinated by a central server like hub.mattermost.com.
For example, I have accounts on chat.rockylinux.org and chat.almalinux.org, as well as two self-hosted servers for our organization.
I want to add all four to my hub.mattermost.com (or some cool subdomain).
And once I log in to main.mattermost .com, I get the list of servers on which I have accounts.
If I have an account on hub.mattermost.com, I do not need to create accounts on all servers.
The hub.mattermost.com can do the on-boarding and data sharing.
Something like what discord.com does.1 voteUpdated label & status.

Automated configuration data for /slash command
How about allowing for a special parameter ?getslashinfo=1 or something return the various fields that need to be filled in in the Slash Command configuration.
Add a button "Fetch" to the right of the Request URL and if clicked, MM goes to retrieve Display Name, Description, Request Method, Autocomplete Hint and Autocomplete description fields.
Even if the user gets it back in the wrong language, it'll be easy to translate to the local language. Reponse username and icon should obviously not be allowed to be fetched like this, nor the trigger word.
A second parameter could be sent with getslashinfo=1,…

Interactive action buttons
Since Interactive Action Buttons are supported (4.2) it would be nice to support different button styles like in Slack and emoticons as text replacement for the buttons. I think this could enhance the overal look and feel of this new feature.

add multiple channel selection for incoming webhook
System users should be able to add multiple channels instead of one channel. We have users that are creating several individual webhooks for the same hook. Is there a way to add multiple selection when setting up an incoming webhook? This will allow an easier way to set this up.

add a plugin hook for search
If plugins had a hook when someone performs a search, they could customise the search experience, e.g. by querying other systems and offering those results too (maybe as an ephemeral post).
I would love to use mattermost search as our cross-platform search provider...

a way to secure self-managed Mattermost deployments...
It is possible to secure self-managed Mattermost deployments w/ Fyde (www.fyde.com)'s unified security and trusted access platform.
Fyde provides granular access controls for enterprise apps (i.e. Mattermost) and workloads, and continuously monitors access requests.
With Fyde, you can roll-out strong device authentication, improve security posture of unmanaged devices and remediate configuration errors.

Integrate with Starleaf video conferencing
I would like to see an integration with Starleaf video conferencing. Starleaf is a great VC product and would be a good fit with Mattermost

Is there any plan to integrate Mattermost with CiviCRM?
We use CiviCRM for our basic admin as a not for profit. The email system in CiviCRM is clunky. Would be great to link Mattermost in some way so we could bypass the CiviCRM email system and just use Mattermost for most of our team communications.

Mattermost - Dropbox Integration
As of now, the integration between Mattermost and Dropbox relies on third party setup such as Zapier and Integromat:
* https://zapier.com/apps/dropbox/integrations/mattermost
* https://www.integromat.com/en/integrations/dropbox/mattermostIt will be great to have a built in plugin to perform this functionality. For example, send a notification to a channel / direct message when a file is uploaded.

Mattermost and Atlassian JIRA
Hi all,
we would like to have a button in our Confluence System (onprem) like a "share with Mattermost" button so that users easily can share their spaces with a mattermost team or channel.
I know that there is a plugin "slack for mattermost" that is compatible with MM, but thats "only" the integration, not a button.

BBB moderator for "team_admin".
Is it possible to add a setting to limit the rights to create a webinar only for "team_admin" with the rights of a moderator of a webinar? The rest of the team members are like ordinary listeners, without the possibility of intercepting the rights of a moderator.

Add the ability to subscribe on Jira issue blocking another issue or being blocked by another issue
In Jira - Mattermost plugin, there is no way to subscribe on issue link updated to sepcify issue is blocking another issue (or being blocked by another issue).
For agile development, subscribing on issue blockage is an important feature. Currently there is no way to subscribe.
In jira this is represented as a link, but in the subscription form, there are only Epic links available.1 vote -

Customize the BOT tag
Especially for incoming webhooks, it would be nice to override the BOT tag text that is shown on every message. This would allow (for instance) integrations to post to a channel as a user in the external system with the name of the system shown instead of BOT, e.g.:
someguy IRC: hello
or
myusername JIRA: issue comment
There would still be a visual indication that the username is associated with an integration and may not be an actual user, but the word BOT isn't always the best description of what's happening.
