Hey all! The work has now started and we’ve released an experimental setting for default channels.
System Admins can configure default channels via config.json, here is more information about it https://docs.mattermost.com/administration/config-settings.html#default-channels-experimental

As an addendum, the reactions are also not shown when posts are searched by tag.
(This was recently an issue as we used a tag to identify suggestions on which users voted using reactions). -

This is already possible using the default slash command
"/echo {message} {delay in seconds}"
although converting your time period into seconds can be a pain. -

I've released a plugin that defines a /spoiler command to hide a whole message with a redacted look (like for spoilers on reddit) for the web client, and a button to show the spoiler for native apps (Android, iPhone...)

Regarding the idea of using a /spoiler command to collapse long messages, would you find it better/ok/worse to have a separate command to that effect?
