Would be a nice feature, but there is a simple workaround: write a message (call to vote) and add different reactions (i.e. thumbs up/thumbs down) to your own message symbolizing the different options. other users may click them to vote.

Provide the ability to conduct user polls within the channel

There is an integration for polls: https://github.com/kaakaa/matterpoll-emoji

It would also be useful (in the case we just had) to have a list of all channel members correlated with their response (or lack thereof) and some basic statistics.

Polls are the most requested feature in our Mattermost instance.

Also please add the option to make the poll results anonymous or not.
So when I mouseover an option I see who voted for it OR I DON'T.

Another idea could be that you would include like Poll-Words in your message that could be upvoted.

Like:

Hi Guys, please upvote [Poll|Coffee] if you want coffee, or [Poll|Tea] if you like Tea.

So a Like System within a single message for special declared Poll Options.
