  1. make channel read-only for specific users (mute)

    I'd like to have the ability to restrict users from writing in a channel without having to remove them altogether. Like muting them/making the channel read-only for them specifically.

  2. Visibility of the Pinned Post

    Hello to all
    The post pin option is very good, but it is better to be able to see the post I am pinning at the top of the channel.
    Not that you have to click on the icon to see it
    Because some channel users may not notice the icon and see the post

    And I think this can be done for all versions of different platforms

    With the recent advent of .*ge emojis (ie sadge, madge, agreege) it would be useful to search for emojis matching a regex pattern.

  9. Channel Footer

    Users frequently put information and urls into the channel header.

    Example: hr-channel might have some links to Q&A, or commonly used sites within a company.

    Problem: Users join new channel and don't think to look at the top of the screen. So, the same questions are asked over and over.

    Solution: Add channel footer. Users can have quick links that are easily viewable. They are more likely to see them!

  10. Outgoing webhooks for bot accounts

    It would be great if I could specify a webhook URL for a bot account that is triggered (similar to an outgoing webhook) whenever the bot receives a private message or is @mentioned in a channel that it is a member of.

  11. Use the preferred_username claim as the Mattermost username for OpenID Connect.

    OpenID Connect (OIDC) has been added to the latest Mattermost Enterprise Edition. However, Mattermost seems to use the user's email address as the Mattermost username.

    According to the OIDC specification, the standard response contains a preferred_username claim and the value of this field should be used as the user name.

    When the preferred_username field of some IdPs is a mailbox (e.g. Google Login), only then is the mailbox prefix considered as the username.

  13. Adding a "Do Not Disturb" Mode

    We all know that people need to concentrate to work efficiently. This is why macOS and then all the operating systems have introduced the "Do not Disturb" mode, which allows to focus on your work.
    And I think we can do even better while integrating it to Mattermost.
    What is in the "Do not disturb" functionality ? It stops alls notification except the ones which doesn't disturb you.
    But the question is : why is it interesting to add it to Mattermost ?

    When the chat window with someone is open
    And I go elsewhere
    The new message symbol is not displayed on the person's name Even when my status is displayed away !! ...
    And
    When I'm not behind the computer , Sound does not make sense ... !!
    All that remains is for a symbol or a new message counter to appear on the person's name ...

    If the window is in focus with the same channel open, no notification is expected.

  16. Support @silent to not notify the recipient of the message

    Often times I want to message someone after hours so as to not forget the next day, but avoid doing so because it is rude. An "@silent" message will allow me to send that message without alerting the recipient.

  17. There should be a page number on the Server Log page (There should be a pagination for the Server log page)

    as per The Current Functionality of the Server log page there is No pagination, if The user see the old logs and he want to Find the same page Again then hes not able to Find that page and Time to time the logs added in the page so it will more difficult to find the same page because when new logs added then its possible that the Page Number will change so if there is a Pagination then User directly redirect on that page and save some times.

  20. Copy / Zoom on image in preview (same as Slack / Skype)

    Integrate similar image previews as in Skype / Slack, rather than just "Download":
    - Enable copy pasting of an image from preview
    - Enable zoom on image when passing mouse over it
    - Open preview in a sub-window for better viewing
