Right now you cannot paste images into the text bar with the iOS app. This makes it difficult to share images by copying and pasting rather than saving and inserting. If I have an image in my clipboard, I would like to be able to long press in the text entry bar to trigger the paste button. This would then add the image to the text where I could review and either send or remove it.5 votes
Microsoft provides an SDK to enable app protection policies to be applied via Intune. Adding this functionality would be a huge benefit for clients that leverage Intune as their MDM and have data protection requirements that prevent data transfer between managed and non-managed apps.

Possibility to connect to the Mattermost server on private network from public network using VPN without turning VPN on for all the traffic.1 vote
The font size in the Mattermost application is too small. It is possible to change the font size of iOS itself at the present time. But it will change include the entire UI. I want to change the font size of characters only in the posting part. It is also good to automatically adjust the font size according to the amount of characters. I want you to be able to adjust the font size at the very least.1 vote
Currently If you approve an MFA push notification from the same screen it works but if you open the MFA app to approve the authentication is goes back to the login page. We have tried it on Android and IOS devices. Can you please add this as a feature? They have a free version of DUO for 10 users you can do testing. https://duo.com/pricing/duo-free 122 votes
most of the social apps have “Share” feature. There are two ways. “Share From Mattermost To …” and “Share From … To Mattermost”
Those allow integration between apps and make it easier to add messages and links to Mattermost.
As on the desktop, keyboard shortcuts are a huge improvement regarding efficiency and usability.
iPads are more and more used with keyboards and Apple provides an easy way to add keyboards shortcuts to an app.
So it would be great if without touching the iPad screen we could :
- Switch to a channel/conversation (jump to)
- Send a message
- Search in the team
- Switch between teams
Being able to view videos uploaded with an iOS device (.mov)21 votes
The current indication for the Mac client is a hardly distinguishable blue dot for the team and a hardly distinguishable whiter color for the channel. It's nice and muted, but I had to really look hard before I found what to look for for unread messages. I suggest a slightly more pronounced way of indicating unread messages for teams and channels.4 votes
right now in the iOS app if you setup an instance I do not see a way to setup another one and seeing as how the current architecture of the product is, I would need multiple servers for my org's needs. the app should be able to handle it as well.1,057 votes
Thanks everyone for all the upvotes, the feature is now planned. We’re exploring design options for supporting multiple servers on the mobile apps here: https://mattermost.atlassian.net/browse/MM-11067
We have also opened a channel to discuss supporting multiple servers in the mobile app, as we understand this is a highly requested feature. Everyone is welcome to join the channel and participate in the discussion: https://community.mattermost.com/core/channels/rn-multi-server-suppot
I would like to add horizontal support to the iOS iPhone application in order to make viewing code snippets a bit more user friendly.
I have implemented the change already, but need a ticket to create a pull request.1 vote
iOS and Android apps should allow users to bypass certificate warning. Some of us don't have proper certs and use the application for small teams, and don't have the resources to get proper web certificates.16 votes
An Apple Watch app would be nice.18 votes
There is a PR ready for testing here: https://github.com/mattermost/mattermost-mobile/pull/941
Tapping a link shared in Mattermost currently throws you out of the app and into Safari. I would be preferable to use Safari View Controller1 to show the link inside the app.5 votes

So I understand that in iOS version 3.3.0, there was a change to disable messages from being sent after pressing the 'Return' key.
My team is coming from WhatsApp so the default is to send a message using the 'Return' key.
I would suggest adding a configuration item that would allow users to make this change as it's really based on personal preference.
Would fix: https://github.com/mattermost/ios/issues/3915 votes
This is one of my concerns when upgrading to a newer version1 vote
Insert the opportunity to highlight the notifications of each team from the team selection menu. Currently it is not clear which team by the notification.3 votes
Keyboard hides after clicking send button.
It would be better to persist the keyboard on screen after sending a message. This is a common use case for users to who want to send separate messages instead of creating paragraphs.
Hiding the keyboard should be triggered by the 'Done' button or touching the message display area.11 votes
When someone post @channel i get a notification that says "somone metioned YOU....". That shoul ony come when they have mentioned you spesificly. if not it should say something like "in channel X someone mentioned @channel"5 votes
