Make visual indications of new messages more pronounced
The current indication for the Mac client is a hardly distinguishable blue dot for the team and a hardly distinguishable whiter color for the channel. It's nice and muted, but I had to really look hard before I found what to look for for unread messages. I suggest a slightly more pronounced way of indicating unread messages for teams and channels.

Ah, it sometimes shows the unread message counts, and sometimes it doesn't.

I'll have to amend this with that I now also see a white round new message indicator. I'm not sure it was there to begin with, but even if it was, it again failed to attract my attention. The Mac dock shows a red icon with a message count, I expected red icons with message counts throughout to guide me where the messages are. Now that I know what to look for, I can obviously see where to go, but initially it is not at all obvious.
