make threads collapsible
A toggle option so that threads appear as "N comments" and open in the side-panel, so they do not interrupt the main flow of the channel, and you can follow each thread mode easily.

Please, as so as possible :)
Please for the love of all that is holy. Make this a thing.
This is a must!

We are planning on giving this design heavy focus in Q4.
Tried to discern the results of the community design meeting about this feature request. It's not clear where this stands. When is this getting done?!?
Version 2.2 used to have this? Please bring it back!!!
This is confusing and looks disorganized. I have to read entire threads to be sure I'm not missing non-threaded content. Please collapse threads!
As a former Slack user this would make managing multiple conversations amongst our team MUCH easier!
it's not even the scrolling that's the worst part. it's the fact that in a single channel you can't have multiple conversations because everything is put into the channel and isn't contained to the conversation (or thread) that it applies to.
you already have the functionality to display threads just stop posting it directly into the channel and make that optional not unchangeable-default
My scrolling finger needs this feature ASAP.
Threads are there for a purpose. Please provide option to see threads when clicked on. Not displayed all the time. Too much scrolling otherwise
Threading on this app hurts my soul. How is this not fixed already?
Scroll, scroll, scroll.... I am wearing out my mouse wheel with this thread implementation.
Super painful without this feature! We have some really big channels so this is critical to not missing important updates that get lost in a sea of responses to a thread!

This is the single biggest issue with our org migrating to MM
Moving from Slack, the thread handling of Mattermost is most disappointing. There needs to be a different approach, or an Enterprise-level Matermost does not.

Please fix A$AP
Threads are very hard to read and near impossible to follow in large channels. Hope an improvement can be pursued soon.
I would feel more psychologically safe with this feature
Can you please fix the thread issue? It makes it very unorganized and hard to read through large organization channels.
