Team setting: Restrict inviting of new members
Add new team setting: Restrict inviting of new members. When it is on only team administator is able to invite new member or to get invitation link.
This feature is complete and working well in the latest version of Mattermost!

This invite form is currently also the only point (tell me otherwise) where a Team member can peek and see all the other members from all the server teams.
This looks more of a bug than a feature, as the direct messages can be limited vi a configurable option, but any member could initiate a talk with other member (independently of the team). To do this first search for members in the team invite form, get the team name in the Join Team options, and later use the direct message url to open a direct communication: https:/server_url/team_name/messages/@user_foundPlease enable to block messages between member of different teams, and more important remove the invite of members or restrict at least the invitation to use only email (not lookup for users)

Where can I find this in Mattermost 5.20.1 version?
On https://docs.mattermost.com/administration/config-settings.html I found
Enable sending team invites from
What does it mean?? >>>> Removed in June 16, 2018 release
Set policy on who can invite others to a team using the Send Email Invite, Get Team Invite Link, and Add Members to Team options on the main menu. If Get Team Invite Link is used to share a link, you can expire the invite code from Team Settings > Invite Code after the desired users have joined the team. Options include:
All team members: Allows any team member to invite others using an email invitation, team invite link or by adding members to the team directly.
Team and System Admins: Hides the email invitation, team invite link, and the add members to team buttons in the Main Menu from users who are not Team Admins or System Admins.
System Admins: Hides the email invitation, team invite link, and add members to team buttons in the Main Menu from users who are not System Admins.
This feature’s config.json setting is "RestrictTeamInvite": "all" with options "all", "team_admin", and "system_admin" for the above settings, respectively. -

This is not working in 4.1.0 Community, was it fixed in later release?

I'd also be thankful for some clarification. I can't find this feature in the current CE.

This does not seem to be included in the Community version, but the moderator response doesn't indicate that. Could someone confirm whether you need EE to access this feature?

Can you pls give more details, i.e. from which version it is available and how to achieve it?
The latest version for the moment of writing your reply was 3.4.0 (which I have running) and cannot find it in the interface.I have browsed through release notes and though there is related change in Enterprise edition (RestrictTeamInvite variable/Policy) I haven't found it for Team Edition.

Looks like this feature request went back to the backlog? I need to way to restrict access to the team and limit who can invite others. Any idea when this feature will be available?

This is also a strong need on our end.

This is one of two "blockers" for our use of Mattermost -- we need to be able to limit team membership decisions/invitations to qualified/authorized individuals: those granted admin status. Essentially, admins have authority to control admission/membership in the teams they are admin for.
If there was an intermediate privilege level - say "membership manager" - that didn't have all the privilege of a Team Admin, but could invite and manage team members, that would be our ideal.

This is definitely needed.
