Hide message contents in notification popups
Have an option to hide the contents of a message when a notification popup occurs. Just show the channel and that there is a new message. This allows us to keep it private if there is someone over your shoulder looking at your screen.
This feature is complete and can be configured in the System Console > Notifications > Email

My users and I are still seeing message previews with "Push Notification Contents" set to "Generic description with only sender name."

Could this be a per-user or per-team option rather than a global one?

What version? I'm running 4.4.1 And do not see this option. If it's enterprise-only, you should separate the *Preview Mode* behaviour out of *Enable Email Notifications* into its own pref. I'd rather have no email notifications than be unable to scrub the contents.
Insecure by default is not cool, and lumping the Team Edition users with that Preview Mode banner – when they just want to plug that hole – is pretty lame.
