Remind me Later
Slack offers a very cool possibility: you can ask the bot to remind you of a message after some time.
This is extremely useful when you post a message which requires some reaction by some other users - if (unfortunately) no reaction comes, it is very easy to forget about the question, which will not happen if you set a reminder!
That would be a very nice feature to add to mattermost
Great news, Mattermosters! The "Remind Me Later" feature has been integrated into the core product. You can learn all about it from Andrew Zigler, our Developer Advocate, in his latest video from "The Feature Feature" series.

Hi,
was wondering if "message reminder" is something that's planned? With Slack pretty much killing small teams with 90 days limit, a lot of teams are migrating over. For a lot of people creating reminders on a message was a very useful productivity feature, especially with people dealing with a lot of other people.

If this feature was added to the plugin I think this could be considered "implemented": https://github.com/scottleedavis/mattermost-plugin-remind/issues/73

Hi Scott
Are you using it ?
Our company tried its integration 1 year ago and it wasn't working so we gave up.
Can you tell me if it's now a working tool ? -

My company has migrated from slack to mattermost. I have become reliant on /remind for my day to day... And haven't found any equivalent mechanism for mattermost yet... So started it over the weekend. Not finished, but shouldn't be long (I need this functionality). Will share it via mattermost integrations when complete. (Criticism, comments and contributions welcome in the meantime). https://github.com/scottleedavis/mattermost-remind

Nelson, did you ever get around to publishing your bot?
We would be very interested to try you out and, if you so wish, give you feedback on it. -

Hello, I just wanted to say I've published Trax, a light time-tracking server integrated with mattermost, that also implements reminders (both one shot and recuring). It's free, open-source, and if you're interested, the project home page is here : https://github.com/EliotBerriot/trax

Hey Nelson! I'm a Product Manager from Mattermost. Feel free to submit your /remind bot here when you're done!

I'm working on a "/remind" bot for mattermost...I have already a preliminary docker image and I'll make it public once we confirm it's working. If interested, I can give it to you so you can try it (I would say right now it is an alpha release).

I'm not sure if this would be two separate features or fall under one, but Slack has two reminder-related functions:
1. /remind function
2. Message reminders :: "When you want to follow up on a conversation or remind yourself of a task, you set a reminder for any message in Slack. Just hover over the message and click the Show message actions icon, select Remind me about this, and choose a timeframe from the list."
