Push-to-Talk
While "texting", I would like to be able to transmit an ad hoc sound bite, so that I can quickly verbalize something without having to start a call session - not store-and-forward, but immediate live voice, Star Trek comm badge style.

While this can be very powerful, it could also be abused - you might not want voice interjection coming from just anywhere. So I would limit this to the current conversation where you are typing.
A helpful feature along with this would be Pause/Replay, much like holding up your hand when someone walks into your office talking.
