Provide an option to show the amount of new messages in a channel
Actually we can see our amout of new mention in a channel, is it possible to do same thing with new messages ?
I think the bold text for new messages isn't visible enough, with a sort of buble like mentions it can be more visible.

i assume he (nor me) can see that the channel turned from light grey to a bit lighter grey when there are new posts. Why not do it like for direct messages and show the number next to the channel name?

In public channels and private groups, you can see how many members are in a channel. The number of users is shown to the left of the "search" box and if you click on the "little man" icon you can see who the members are.
Could you clarify what it is you're looking for in your second sentence? At the moment, the "star" in the browser tab shows that there are new messages in a team and if the icon is red with a number next to it, that is how many mentions you have.

Show on the channels the number of users.
Also show number of new messages on a change when it's not the focused channel.
