Add sub-channels/groups or folders
With a lot of groups/channels ,the sidebar becomes very cluttered. A collapsable hierachy with sub-channels/groups would be great.
Or, easier to implement I guess, the ability to group channels/private groups into folders.

Sub-channels would be GREAT. Also the ability to move/merge a channel into an other.

Yes it could be great to have sub-channels. Any user could create a sub-channel to open a subject and could close it once it is solved/finished. IT would be helpful for the others to find the beginning and ending of each discussion

It should be great to have possibilty to close and create new subject inside a canal in sort to separate the thread

Or tags. I run a mattermost with about 1000 users and it is both too much to separate teams and too many channels in the default view.
