I understand your point of view. In this case (I'm not the one who ask this feature), Mattermost is offered to a large public : anyone can create his account or his team (it's not reserved to a company or organization).
And final user may want to delete his account or one of his teams when he doesn't need anymore mattermost.
The organization which hosts this service doesn't really like personnal data and rathers do let people make their choice to delete their personnal data.
In this case, user must ask the organisation who host and offer this service to delete a team or his account.
It would be easier if any user could delete his own account or one of his team alone :)
