Allow resizing and hiding of sidebar
It would be nice to be able to click/drag the sidebar (where channels are) and resize it/ hide it if desired.
Resizing it and having a channel name abbreviated with ... could make sense;
ex: Town Square once it starts getting cut off would become Tow... (depending on how small you make the sidebar). Then if you go over far enough it snaps into a hidden position

I noticed I can do this already sort of on the windows app
If I snap the window to the side of my smaller monitor, the left sidebar is hidden. If I snap it to the side of my larger monitor, it comes back. It seems to be tied to the window size, because it'll stay hidden on the larger monitor if I don't snap (win+right) but just have it as a small enough window. It's bizarre

This would indeed be useful: as soon as we start creating a bit more channels in a work environment, it makes sense to use longer names and having them fully displayed is useful.
Storing it as a prefence in the background would be great so that we do not have to resize each time we start the app as well.

Resizable sidebar shouldn't be an expensive feature. Very much appreciated.

I would also like this feature when available. Please advise if it is!

With the limited space on handhelds I think this will be highly desired.
