Disable direct messages
Our company would find it useful if there was an admin option to disable direct messages all-together.
We think this may help the work of teams where there is no need to discucc anything outside of team channels.

This feature would definitely differentiate. I need a Slack-like chat app that I can disable direct messaging, and chat apps I've seen do NOT offer this functionality. One competitor is close, but doesn't have it.

Our rational is transparency on collections efforts. We use specific channels for certain types of collections and want all input to thread in one place on a given account. No side DM communication where something can be lost

+1. My rationale is that only a subset of my company is using Mattermost, but all employees use Skype for Business. I don't want to use two different tools for IM.
