    Additionally, it would be sufficiant, if the link of the document in the attachement popup would lead to the public link, then nobody must have be logged into Mattermost server with desktop app AND browser at the same time.

    Atm, if you click on a file link in the popup, the browser opens, but leads to a session expired message.

    We are currently looking at bringing the features of the Wrangler plugin into the core product to solve the use cases of:

    1. Moving a message or thread to another channel
    2. Attaching a message to an existing thread

    We use Mattermost for faster inhouse com and have many "older" users that are not so familiar with modern messenger communication habits. They are quite ambitious, but often post in the wrong team/channel and I am expected to deal with it. Such possibility would make my life as Mattermost admin a lot easier!
