   Since one of the best arguments for mattermost is that it can replace the very outdated email workflows, this feature is the most important for us.

   Nearly every application in our intranet supports email notifications or similar. Using a feature like that would help a lot in mattermost adoption.

   In case we need to wait for all these intranet applications to support mattermost, this would effectively take years. As a first step a very simple one-way email-to-mattermost out of the box experience would already be sufficient
