   Can't believe this is not implemented yet.

   Slack does this. https://slack.com/help/articles/4403608802963-Open-separate-windows-in-Slack

   No way am I going to get people on windows to migrate away from xmpp/pidgen to this.

   Seems like a huge roadblock to multitasking when you are confined to one single window at a time.

   It makes no sense why you cannot open a second application instance either, for instance, boards is something that would be beneficial to open in it's own window and not just in another tab that then takes your view away from your chats.
