I would also like a feature (like Slack's) which splits the difference-- Disable the auto-emojification but not the rendering of emoji. If I want to type :smile: and get an emoji, I will type ":smile:", but I do not appreciate a chat platform deciding that I really meant ":smile:" when I typed ":)".
