More specifically, I would like to mute notifications for a specific user.
Use case: We have a channel where people sometimes post important announcements using @channel, but there is one person who posts a lot of @channel messages that aren't relevant to me. I don't want to mute the whole channel as some of those notifications can be very important, nor do I want to completely hide the posts from this user, as I sometimes interact with him.
Thus, having a setting that allows ignoring global mentions from one user seems like the most straightforward solution to this problem.
