  2. Chronological message stream over all channels

Sometimes I read a message in one channel, get desturbed and get more messages in other channels. Later I want to go back to the first message, but cannot remember/find the channel anymore. In this case it would be handy to have a view of all messages from all channels in chronological order.

  3. Add a text display feature to off/on the auto-collapsed(Show More Link)

“If it includes more than 300 characters or more than 5 line breaks, the message will be collapsed and a “Show More” link will be added to expand the message.”

This Message Attachments rule is not good for quick reading. You must click the "Show More" link again and agian to read a lot of long texts. So would you mind adding a feature to off/on This?

  4. How to calculate dc power with power calculator?

You need to consider why you need to know the physics of the power calculator. To deduce the total power calculator watts, it is necessary to determine the apparent power, reactive force and capacity. You should remember that the power calculator does not distinguish the delayed and leading power factors.
    Read full guide here: https://wattinsider.com/how-to-calculate-solar-panel-battery/

Therefore, the capacity of the power factor parallel to the device must be connected to obtain correct readings.

  5. Documentation of JSON payload format for integrations

I read the Documentation to add custom slash commands. It gives an example of a valid JSON response, see https://docs.mattermost.com/developer/slash-commands.html#creating-integrations-with-commands.
The documentation then says "As mentioned previously" several times when speaking of the JSON payload. But every previous description eventually refers to Slack and its proprietary JSON payload format. So if Slack changes its JSON format and adds or removes fields I have no idea if this is gonna work in Mattermost.

Could you please add a page in the documentation which describes the format? Which fields are available? What fields differ from Slack? etc. And then add a…

  6. Don't cover message text with the hover toolbar buttons

When I point at a message, a group of about 4 icons appears at the top right of the message. My annoyance is that this icon group covers part of the text of the message I'm trying to read. Please reposition this button group so that it does not obscure the text.

  7. inverted chat window configurable

This would not be only for the app. It is more a general thing for the appearance.
I would like to have a setting which gives me the option to invert the chat winodw. What i mean in detail with that is that the chat input would be on top. New messages would appear on top aswell and i have to scroll down to read older messages instead of up.
    thanks

  8. Please add a way to say I'm not available right now to chat -

Please add a way to say I'm not available right now to chat - for those of us who share our screens throughout the day with others (clients), I don't want messages popping up for so clients can read them. Closing the program doesn't stop the messages from popping up or give us a way to move the pop up to another monitor - urggh ! can't believe what the client just read... Give us a way to show 'I'm Busy right now' so the pop ups stop PLEASE

  9. Function 'Automatically Close Direct Messages' shouldn’t close unread Messages

The function should only close already read messages. If a user is on vacation and comes after ten days back to work, the user should see all unread messages in the sidebar even if the unread message is older than seven days.

  10. import multiple slack communities at once

I am on over 20 Slack communities. Adding each one one at a time to my mattermost apps will be slow and error prone.

Add a way to read my config from running slack apps, and/or discover all the slack communities a given email address is a member of, and import them all at once to the Mattermost apps.

  11. allow tagging of channel that needs further attention

I like to read all my channels that have new posts first and then go back to the channels that need follow up action. But once I have looked at a channel it is no longer highlighted so it can be hard to find. It would be good to be able to tag it or keep it highlighted until dealt with.

  12. Bigger writing screen for the mobile app

    Dear Mattermost team

In the mobile app when answering to a message, the reply writing screen is only 3 lines wide … whereas received message takes all the screen.

    Why this choice ?
Do we need in priority to read constantly the received message or to be very focused on our reply ?

Let’s make the reply writing screen full screen for the confort of writing.

    Thanks

    Arno

  13. Support readonly filesystem without errors

It is a best practice to run kubernetes workloads as readOnlyRootFilesystem. See https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/configure-pod-container/security-context/.

When running with such a security context, Mattermost will throw an error : Failed to update assets subpath from config.

This is the case even if the deployment is not served as a subpath.

My proposal is to add support for a readonly filesystem, by either :
    - Detecting when the SITE_URL is not affecting the subpath, thereby not raising an error and not trying to update the subpath
    OR
    - Writing the updated files to a different directory that can be mounted as a read-writable…
