  1. Add support for sending message to multiple users without creating a channel/group

    Sometimes you need to send message to an intersection of ppl groups or just part of a group. Right now one has to create a channel/group with the people you need and post there. Everytime for every different group of people. The feature could work pretty much like private messages, just allow to multi-select the users before sending the message

    Nobody likes it.
    Tested on 4 people, everybody wanted to turn it off ASAP.

    Giphy lets you search from the world's largest library of animated GIFs, making it easy to find and share them on the web.

    This integration will enable the /giphy slash command for your team. Search for a GIF using /giphy coffee time and the integration will display a relevant GIF in your channel.

  7. Add a way to integrate with Hubot

    We're starting to have a lot of Hubot scripts that we use with Hipchat, it would be cool to continue to be able to use them with Mattermost.

  8. Add markdown support for Image Size

    I miss the markdown for defining image size with

    =WIDTHxHEIGHT

  9. Hide message contents in notification popups

    Have an option to hide the contents of a message when a notification popup occurs. Just show the channel and that there is a new message. This allows us to keep it private if there is someone over your shoulder looking at your screen.

  10. Add svg attachment rendering

    When attaching a jpeg or png image, an image preview is rendered. An identical behavior with svg would be quite useful. Additionally since svg is supported by all the modern browsers, I imagine the implementation would be relatively straightforward unlike with some other attachment formats.

  15. Allow auto-signup with SSO/Gitlab

    In a SSO/OAuth environment it makes sense to allow auto-signup. if login succeeds and there is no account yet, just create the account and sign in. The current oauth signup basically does this already. Im proposing to remove that step and move that functionality into the login button.

    Away status is now available on master, set to 5 minutes. If anyone is interested in implementing the /away slash command or making the away duration configurable please reply here and we can open a ticket?

  19. add previews for PDF attachments

    When you attach JPEG or PNG images to a comment, a preview thumnail is generated. This helps a lot when scanning through messages and makes the channels pleasant to look at.

    At the moment, PDF attachments show only a generic PDF logo, so all PDF attachments look alike!

    It would be really nice if preview thumbnails could be generated for PDF attachments. Usually the first page of the PDF is used for this purpose.

    Allow for updating and downvoting messages (like reddit) and/or have something like a uservoice feature request functionality as part of mattermost. Idea: Up- or downvote suggestions.
